Terms of use
These terms are short because the site does little: it publishes information for adults in Kenya about the law on online betting. Reading it costs nothing, needs no account and creates no relationship beyond the one described here. If you disagree with any of these terms, the remedy is to close the page; nothing is lost by doing so, because nothing was collected.
Who the site is for
Online Betting Kenya is written for adults in Kenya who are eighteen or older. Section 72(2) and (3) of the Gambling Control Act, 2025 require operators to see proof of age of majority before registering a player, and regulation 92(1)(c) of the Gambling Control (Conduct of Gambling Operations) Regulations, 2026 (L.N. 112) treats anyone under eighteen as a minor to be kept out of gambling and gambling promotion. If you are under eighteen, this site is not for you and will not help you open an account.
Information, not advice
Every page describes what a section of the Act, a regulation, a tax paragraph or a provider's published tariff said on the date shown on the page. That is information. It is not legal, financial or tax advice, and it does not consider your circumstances. For a decision that matters, read the gazetted text, ask the Authority or take professional advice. Where this site and the law appear to differ, the law is right and this site has a correction to make.
The rule finder and every table are illustrative
The rule finder maps questions to the sections and regulations as they were read on the date shown. Its one-sentence answers are summaries; the locator is the point of each row, and the text it points to prevails. Any worked arithmetic on this site is labelled illustrative example and shows how a rate applies to a round figure, not what you will pay. Any detail about an operator is taken from the Authority's list headed Licensed Gaming Companies for the Trading Period 2025/26, which the regulator's site reported as last modified on 19 March 2026; the regulator's live page prevails over anything copied from it here.
No gambling services
Section 28(1) of the Act bars any gambling activity or service in Kenya that is not licensed under the Act. This site is not a licensee. It accepts no bets, opens no accounts, holds no money and processes no payment. It carries no hyperlink to any operator and offers no bonus, tip or prediction. Nothing on the site is an invitation to gamble.
No liability for operators
This site is not responsible for anything a betting operator does or fails to do, including the acceptance or settlement of a bet, the verification of an account or the timing of a payout. A dispute with an operator belongs with the operator's customer care centre first, which regulation 9(2)(d) of L.N. 112 requires to report the matter to the Authority within two days; with the Authority if it is unresolved after 72 hours under regulation 9(2)(e); and with the Gambling Appeals Tribunal established by section 88, which section 80 allows a party to an online gambling dispute to reach within 14 days.
Use of the text
You may quote this site with attribution and a link. You may not present its text as the law itself, as advice, or as the words of the Authority. The law quoted here is public; the summaries are ours and may be wrong, which is why every page names its sources.

These terms carry the date they were last updated. A change that alters what the site collects, earns or links to is announced first on the page it concerns, as the privacy page and how we make money describe, and recorded in the corrections log. These terms are governed by the law of Kenya.
